Hello to You: Self-advocates Speak Out on Employment
With a focus on self-advocates, this section will tackle major
issues affecting people with disabilities and their families.
Currently, we are looking at employment. Below we highlight some
self-advocates who are on various career paths. Click on the videos
below to get their thoughts on having a job and the importance of
working.
Our contributors are David Morrison, Caroline Ambrose and Barton
Cutter. David Morrison lives in Wilmington and works for the Wilmington
Star News. He writes regularly about disability issues, and attends
the University of North Carolina-Wilmington. Caroline Ambrose works with
a Center for Independent Living. Here she helps people with
disabilities get the supports they need. Barton Cutter is a
professional coach and writer. He lives in Raleigh.
