The NCCDD Announces Funds Availability For Two New Initiatives
The first is an initiative to improve the supports available to aging adults with intellectual and other developmental disabilities (I/DD) who live with aging family members.

Secondly, NCCDD is offering a separate grant for an initiative building on the state’s significant successes in providing contemporary, post-secondary education opportunities for students with intellectual disabilities.
Post-Secondary Education: Standing on the Shoulders of Success
The NCCDD will make available $75,000 over the course of two years with a required minimum of 25 percent non-federal matching funds for each initiative. Each grant award is for a 24-month period, beginning July 2012.
If you intend to apply, please submit the Notification of Intent to Apply form by January 23, 2012. A meeting for potential applicants will be conducted prior to the application deadline. Grant applications must be received by 5 p.m., Friday, March 2, 2012. The application as well as the Notification of Intent to Apply form is available through the DD Suite (see links above).
