Taskforce on Inclusive Child and Afterschool Care: Improving Access and Outcomes RFA #1 2-2010
The intent of this initiative is to invest in systems change efforts that promote and enhance the availability of fully inclusive, high quality child and afterschool care environments. The RFA places an emphasis on facilitating organizational or systems change that will lead to outcomes valued by families of children with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. This intent shall be met through a taskforce that will assist in the development of recommendations to increase community capacity and support for addressing attitudinal, policy, procedural, training, regulatory, and funding barriers hindering the development of inclusive child and afterschool care environments for children and youth.
To carry out the intent of this objective, the NCCDD will make available one grant for up to $75,000, for an eighteen (18) month period with a required minimum of 25% non-federal matching funds. This initiative will not be subject to the declining federal/Council participation based on the poverty or non-poverty status of the county in which the applicant is headquartered.
