Guilford Technical Community College, Greensboro
Exceptional Children’s Assistance Center (ECAC) and the Division of Public Health, Children and Youth Branch are collaborating to host this inaugural Family Leadership Summit. This interactive summit is geared towards families who have already demonstrated an interest and/or commitment to taking leadership roles in the arena of special education and/or family engagement in their communities. Participants will leave the summit with new hands-on skills, connections, and resources.
ELIGIBILITY:
Parent, Family Member, or Caregiver of child with special health care needs or a disability, age birth to 24.
Live in North Carolina
Available to attend Leadership Summit on BOTH days Saturday, June 1st and Sunday, June 2nd.
Interested in furthering their knowledge and skills related to leadership and supporting other families
of children with special needs
Participants will receive meals and lodging at no cost. A $150 participation expense reimbursement will be paid to each participant (1 per family) to help cover any expenses associated with the trip.
