One Seminary’s Initiative: The Graduate Certificate in Disability and Ministry at Western Theological Seminary webinar

General Calendar
Wednesday, April 18, 2018 – 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
JoAnn Toomey

How can the human experience of disability be appreciated as a category of critical inquiry for reimagining ministerial formation?  Disability studies views disability as both an unsurprising aspect of human diversity and as a social construction.  By attending to the construction of disability and the experiences and perceptions of people with disabilities, students and professors can gain perspectives that will enrich and perhaps transform Christian theology and ministry.
