"Unmet: North Carolina's Two Developmental Disability Crises" is a 25-minute film commissioned by the North Carolina Council on Developmental Disabilities. It shows the real-life situations of individuals with intellectual or other developmental disabilities (I/DD) and what it looks like when their needs are unmet.
In 2023 and 2024, screenings were held throughout North Carolina, including in Greenville, Asheville, and a Spanish-language showing in Charlotte. Now you can watch the film online!
The Council has released the film and welcomes organizations, nonprofits, and individuals to host a watch party and having meaningful discussions, while sharing with NCCDD what you think. Learn more on how you can host a watch party.
