National Council on Disability seeks stakeholder input on COVID impact on people with I/DD

The National Council on Disability (NCD) is seeking stakeholder input about the effects of COVID on people with IDD during their meeting on Thursday, November 19, 2020, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time, via teleconference. The public comment time is from 330-4pm, but interested parties may join the meeting in listen-only capacity. Registration is not required, but comments should be submitted in advance of the meeting via email. (See instructions below.)

Researchers continue to gather evidence that people with IDD face greater negative impacts from COVID. Yet policies around containment, treatment and vaccination often fail to prioritize this population. Please email your comments and call in to the NCD meeting to share your stories with NCD so they can be considered in upcoming NCD reports.
