Olmstead Plan Extended to November 8!
North Carolina’s Draft Olmstead Plan will be released October 12, 2021. Public comments are due by November 8.
You will hear about Olmstead, North Carolina’s draft Olmstead Plan, and how you can provide feedback. Learn why it is important for North Carolina’s disability community, and how it effects people with disabilities to have what they need to live in their own homes. We will also have time for you to share your opinions.
Why is this important for the disability community? An Olmstead Plan can show how the state will change so people do not have to be in institutions and nursing homes. The plan can show how people with disabilities can have what they need to live in their own homes. North Carolina’s Olmstead Plan can show the path for more independence in the community.
Comments on North Carolina’s Draft Olmstead Plan are DUE November 8, 2021.
