Thriving with Autism: Strengthening Neuroaffirming Practices
Description
Join the Carolina Institute for Neurodevelopmental Disabilities for the 45th TEACCH Autism Program Conference. The event brings together educators, clinicians, researchers, autistic advocates, and families to explore approaches that honor neurodiversity and support authentic wellbeing. This year’s sessions highlight evidence-informed strategies and lived experiences that inspire stronger, more inclusive practices across schools, healthcare, and community settings.
Featured speakers will dive into topics ranging from early developmental supports and neuroaffirming classroom design to adult assessment, healthcare equity, and human-rights-centered care. Participants will leave with practical tools for strengthening neuroaffirming approaches across the lifespan. This is a hybrid event with in-person and virtual attendance opportunities.
